          Clinitex The Manufacturer

Clinitex was founded in 1987 by former executives of Zimmer Division of Bristol-Myers Corporation.

In 1992, Clinitex purchased the assets of the bankrupt PuriDyne Corporation, and has since invested considerable time and effort in upgrading tooling and manufacturing procedures in order to be able to reliably produce and maintain components of the Clinitex Air Treatment system.

Clinitex currently maintains an EPA and FDA registered medical device manufacturing facility. The company has received EPA and FDA registration for a broad mix of technologies which encompass medical and long-term care products, anti microbial products, and personal care products.

Medical Products

Clinitex manufactures a broad base of orthopedic products for leading companies in the medical products arena. Among these companies are Johnson + Johnson, AOA Kirschner, BioMet, ABCO Dealers, and General Medical. Clinitex also manufactures its own line of long-term care products for direct sale into hospitals and long-term care facilities.

Anti microbial Products

Clinitex manufactures a broad range of EPA registered anti microbial additives for a number of industrial customers. The Company's unique anti microbial technologies are employed in the fabrication of carpeting, textiles, coatings, and plastic products. Proprietary Microbial technologies are currently used in products distributed by a number of well known companies, including Rubbermaid, Herculite, Mann Industries, and Phoenix Medical Technologies.

Personal Care Products

Clinitex manufactures a wide variety of personal care products which were formerly available only to hospitals and nursing homes, but can now be made available directly to consumers. Among these are skin and hair care products, anti microbial soaps and body washes, anti microbial sprays and cleaners, adult incontinence care products using new antimicrobial technologies, and many, many more.

Commentary

The home, workplace, indoor recreational areas, churches, libraries and schools are an part of the indoor air quality issue. And new constructive steps are possible.

We've been pleased in recent months to discover the advantages of an air treatment system called Clinitex. What is impressive about the system is that it goes beyond present filtration technology and deals with a wider range of pollutants. Normal indoor circulation makes fully effective filtration impossible . Also, many pollutants are trapped in carpets, drapes, office and household furnishings and other surfaces, further reducing the efficiency of filtration alone. Particularly irksome are the high-mold and mildew areas that continue to feed new pollutants and odors into the air.

The Clinitex Air Treatment System includes a powerful air freshening agent called DX-1000, an extract of the grapefruit seeds together with a patented technology for distributing this agent throughout an enclosed area. A wide range of pollutants are attacked at their source by the active DX-1000 shield.

We also have been impressed with the scientific approach of Clinitex, the manufacturer, to product testing and quality assurance. Clinitex is an FDA registered medical device manufacturer. Among Clinitex's product lines are long-term care products, personal care products and antimicrobial products.

Use of the Clinitex system in doctors offices, nursing homes and gymnasiums has produced positive results. A doctor from Illinois writes that, since installation of the system, "we have experienced a marked decrease in odors associated with clinical medicine." Another medical doctor from Indiana writes, "I used to take the air my patients breathed for granted. I now emphasize the importance of good air and how critical it is for attaining and then maintaining optimized health. Since I have learned about Clinitex, I now believe that every enclosed and potentially hazardous space in America should contain DX-1000 molecules."

As a school principal in Texas, I noted that about 10 percent of my teachers were smokers, and I was receiving continuous complaints bout the stale, odor of the teachers' lounge. "I put the unit in an inconspicuous place in the lounge and waited to see if anyone could tell the difference. Well, not only did I notice a tremendous improvement, but teachers started asking me what we had done to the lounge."

A parent of a student at the international Gymnastics Training Center (an Olympic gymnastics training facility) was growing frustrated with the gym odor. Within two days of installing a Clinitex unit, "they were singing our praises. Even I was surprised at the reduction in odors. The locker room actually smelled good."

For employers dealing with continuous worker complaints about odors and air quality problems - some even affecting absenteeism - the system is a tool worth considering.
